Position Summary
A leading academic medical center in the United States is seeking a Head and Neck Radiologist for a 3-year fixed-term appointment within its Department of Diagnostic Imaging.
The role is part of a high-volume tertiary care hospital system with integrated clinical, teaching, and research responsibilities and formal academic affiliation with a U.S. medical school.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and supervise CT, MRI, and radiographs of the head, neck, and spine
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards and oncology collaboration (ENT, oral and maxillofacial surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology)
- Provide teaching and supervision for medical students, radiology residents, and subspecialty fellows
- Support MRI protocol development and imaging optimization initiatives
- Participate in neuroradiology on-call coverage on a shared rotation
- Contribute to academic research, education, and clinical service excellence
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology (equivalent to FRCPC accepted)
- Subspecialty fellowship training in Head and Neck Radiology
- Strong expertise in advanced CT and MRI imaging
- Demonstrated interest in academic radiology, education, or research preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Eligibility for faculty appointment at an accredited U.S. medical school
Work Schedule
- Approximately 30 clinical hours per week (average)
- Flexible academic and clinical scheduling
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual compensation: USD $450,000
- Approximately 10 weeks of unpaid leave annually
