Regulatory Program Director – Nuclear Oversight

A leading regulatory organization is seeking a Regulatory Program Director to oversee compliance, licensing, and regulatory oversight activities within the nuclear sector.

This leadership role involves directing regulatory strategies, managing stakeholder engagement, and ensuring effective implementation of safety and compliance programs across complex nuclear operations. The successful candidate will work closely with industry stakeholders, technical teams, and community partners to support safe and responsible nuclear operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of regulatory oversight and compliance programs
• Act as a primary liaison with licensees, stakeholders, and technical teams
• Develop regulatory procedures, guidance documents, and oversight strategies
• Present findings, recommendations, and technical assessments to senior leadership
• Support engagement initiatives with community organizations and external stakeholders
• Ensure alignment with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
• Extensive experience in nuclear compliance, licensing, or regulatory oversight
• Strong understanding of reactor operations, safety analysis, and industry standards
• Proven leadership experience within regulatory or highly regulated environments
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
• Bilingual communication skills considered an asset
