An innovative engineering organization is seeking a Lead Mechanical / Nuclear Systems Engineer to oversee mechanical and pressure-boundary design activities for advanced reactor systems and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in nuclear or high-integrity mechanical systems, with the ability to guide multidisciplinary engineering teams through concept development, detailed design, and system integration activities.
Your role will involve leading reactor subsystem design efforts, supporting pressurized system integration, coordinating with instrumentation and controls teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable engineering codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead mechanical and pressure-boundary design for advanced reactor systems
• Define interfaces between mechanical systems and instrumentation & control components
• Support primary pressurized loop and safety-system integration activities
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering programs
• Guide engineering reviews, technical analysis, and system integration efforts
• Ensure compliance with applicable ASME, CSA, and related engineering standards
Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related discipline
• 7–15 years of experience in mechanical or nuclear systems engineering
• Experience with pressure vessels, piping systems, and high-integrity mechanical equipment
• Strong knowledge of ASME, CSA, or equivalent engineering codes
• Proven technical leadership on complex engineering projects
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
